Description

Bulk Processor is a tool to allow you to upload delimited text files thru the Script and have the script process the orders instantly. This is an excellant way of billing recurring site or service members. Leaves no trace afterwards of the database on your server so nobody can swipe any credit info to fraudulently use elsewhere. Has the option of mailing you a results database as an attachment also in delimited format compatible with most any spreadsheet or database programs you use at home.

Requirements

Net::SSleay and OpenSSL

Installation

Unzip the archive to your hard drive and open process.cgi in a text editor and make sure the very first line:

#!/usr/bin/perl

is the correct path to the perl interpreter on your server.

Open Configs.pm and change to suit your needs or your server info.

Open your favorite FTP client and upload the files in ASCII mode to a directory on your server that allows CGI execution. The directory you upload to should be webserver writable.

Change file permissions on process.cgi to 755.

Create a directory in the directory holding the script named: data

Change file permissions on the data directory to 777.

Thats it. You should now have a working script. Just aim your browser at process.cgi to test.

If you have a problem, check Configs.pm to see if you have use_mail set to "yes", if so you may need to change it to "no" and then retest. If it still fails, then your server most likely does not have Net::SSLeay installed and you should ask your admin to install it for you. He can get Net::SSLeay here:

Databases:
================

The main database you keep should be a delimited databsse in text format one entry per line. The fields should be as follows:

firstname lastname company address city state zip country email product amount cardnum exp_date

This is the database you will upload thru the script to process the accounts listed.

The second database is one that the script mails to you after processing all acounts in the database above, also in delimited format of course.

The format it uses is as follows:

firstname lastname approved/declined amount product decline_reason

Both of these databases should be importable or exportable by most any database or spreadsheet software made, which should ease your life considerably.

Script Use
================

Simply aim your browser at process.cgi and follow directions from there.
The system is super simple to use.
