Description
This script fully automates the running of a link list site. Site submissions, reviews, approval and administration of the links database is done thought a handy web interface.

Installation
Configuration
- The Varz.pm file contains several variables that will need editing before the script will run on your server.
- $output_title = "Links and stuffs";
This is the title to be displayed on your links page.
- $scriptdir = "/home/user/cgi-bin/linklister";
Specify the directory in which Link Lister script files will reside.
- $baseurl = "http://www.yourdomain.com/cgi-bin";
This is the URL that points to your script files, and matches the path above
- $htmldir = "/home/user/html/links";
Here you can specify the directory in which the link list file will be created.
- $listing_pagename = "main.html";
This parameter is the filename created in the directory above that contains the actual link list.
Adjusting Templates
Changing the look and feel of templates in Link Lister is a simple process of editing the files in the template directory. This can be done using your existing HTML editor.
This is the template for the main document used to display links.
This HTML code will be displayed directly above links added by the administrator.
This is the HTML that will appear above links added by other webmasters.
And this page contains the HTML repeated for each link.
To edit this template you must be aware of the following varibles.
Is replaced with the name of the current site.
Is replaced with the sites URL
Is replaced with the description for the current site.
Uploading
Create a directory for the script on your server, which must have CGI access.
Upload all files in ASCII mode.
CHMOD .CGI and .PM files to 755.
CHMOD .TXT files to 666.
Create the directory specified in $htmldir and CHMOD 777
Running
First open the admin.cgi file in your web-browser.
Enter the default password "pass".
Click "Rebuild Page".
Change the password to one of your own.
